Viburnum Suspensum is a distinctly different plant to the large-leafed Odoratissimum hedging Viburnums - it is smaller, denser, and more textured, with smaller, darker green leaves with a slightly rough surface and a naturally compact, mounding habit that reaches around 1.5-2m without clipping. White flowers appear in spring followed by small red berries. It suits lower hedges, informal screening, and garden positions where the larger Odoratissimum would simply be too big. A good choice for a medium formal hedge that doesn't require constant cutting to stay in scale. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
