Pretty in Pink Serruria produces small, lacy flower heads in clear, mid-toned pink - warmer than Blushing Bride, softer than Raspberry Burst. The flowers have the same intricate, papery character of the genus: multiple layers of fine bracts arranged in a round head, each one delicate enough to look hand-crafted. Outstanding as a cut flower with a long vase life, and a beautiful garden plant that flowers from late winter through spring. Full sun. Sandy, very well-drained soil. Phosphorus-free fertiliser essential. Minimal summer irrigation. As with all Serruria, perfect drainage is the most important factor.
