Fountain Grass produces soft, feathery flower plumes in late summer and autumn that arch gracefully over the foliage - one of the most naturalistic and movement-filled of all ornamental grasses. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Cut back hard to about 10cm in late winter to encourage strong new growth. Nafray is a compact, well-contained selection that stays around 60-70cm - better suited to smaller gardens and pot planting than the full-sized species. It produces good plumes relative to its size.
