Magenta Emu Bush is a compact eremophila producing vivid magenta-purple tubular flowers over an extraordinarily long season - in good conditions it is rarely entirely without flowers for more than a few weeks of the year. The colour is one of the more intense in the eremophila range: a warm, saturated magenta that reads as vivid even from a distance. Birds - particularly honeyeaters - find the tubular flowers irresistible. It grows to around 60-80cm and has a naturally tidy, rounded habit. Full sun. Excellent drainage - eremophilas are very sensitive to waterlogging. Phosphorus-free fertiliser. Very drought tolerant once established.
